Since I grew up in the 60's and enjoyed the beaches of Southern California during that era, I find myself wishing that we had the California lifestyle as we knew it back then. Back then, Southern Cal was not over-crowded nor was it owned and overrun by mega-bucks people. It had small coastal towns where the bohemian lifestyle prevailed, and you could drive for miles just enjoying the scenery of the ocean and beaches. I miss that California. I mourn the loss of that California. Yet, I found the same lifestyle and serenity here on the Oregon Coast and I'm transported back in time to the 60's again. And fortunately, because of some visionary lawmakers here in Oregon, the coast is accessible to all people, not owned and barracaded by super-wealthy homeowners. I never thought I would be able to live the second half of my life enjoying it as I did in my childhood and adolescent years, but yet I am doing just that. Take a look at what I'm enjoying...
